RACKS & PINIONS
Racks and pinions are common components in mechanical engineering, used to convert rotational motion into linear motion. The system consists of a gear rack operated by a pinion that meshes precisely with the racks. Rack and pinion systems offer reliability, simplicity, and versatility across a range of applications
Through our partnership with Romani Components, we are now offering high-quality racks and pinions to the north European market.
Wide range for all applications
We offer a wide selection of racks and pinions with metric pitches ranging from module 0.5 to module 30, available in both straight and helical toothing versions. The module size defines the dimensions and characteristics of the teeth. The smaller the module, the smaller the gear teeth size.
There are different quality grades to match various needs in terms of accuracy, durability, and price range. For harsh environments, we also provide options in stainless steel and with protective coatings like black oxide and chrome.
The standard steel racks are provided in 500 mm, 1000 mm, and 2000 mm lengths, with straight or helical teeth. They feature hardened teeth and are fully ground with side drilling that allows easy continuous assembly for unlimited lengths.
Advanced heat treatment for superior performance
The products in this range have been hardened using advanced diode laser tempering. This technology ensures consistent hardness while minimizing deformation, especially in smaller modules. The laser, combined with precision optics, enables selective heat treatment of specific component areas, offering clear advantages over conventional methods.
